  The ecological tourist city of south Morocco
  An outstanding environment, a reputation beyond borders
  On the Atlantic coast, in the big Moroccan south, exists a magic bay.
  A place of exception where dunes and waves live side by side; sky and sea, man and migratory birds, a contrast of nature which never stops revealing its secrets.
  A city of the western Sahara, formerly called Villa Cisneros by the Spanish, and which extends over 40 km along the Atlantic coast, Dakhla is today without doubt, one of the biggest fishing ports in Morocco. Its population swells to double its normal capacity at busy times of the year.
  The Rio of Oro Lagoon, one of the most abundant fish areas in the world, invites fish lovers to catch fish of over 60kg and measuring up to two meters!!
  Since 2003, the city has welcomed windsurfers and kite surfers from across the world. According to a number of such champions, Dakhla is the most beautiful spot for these sports after Hawaii. Nowadays, there are five schools of nautical sport that welcome more than 7000 sports tourists. For air rally participants in the Toulouse - Saint-Louis race from Senegal which is held every year in October, Dakhla is an inescapable stopover.
  On the edge of a magnificent turquoise lagoon, with some of the most spectacular fauna and flora in the world, the Dakhla Bay is recognized as one of the most important grounds for migratory pink flamingos .
  Along the coast you can also see dolphins, and rare monk seals which have international protection.
