  • DELPHI - Global Director, International L

    Villepinte 2015 - 2017 Global responsibility to manage Delphi international logistics worldwide meaning in all 4 regions ($650 mil spend, +125 manufacturing sites, +120 warehouses): EMEA, North America, South America and Asia Pacific. The activities cover the design of the flows, managing global contracts, global logistics services procurement and supervising overall related activities like improvement projects, electronic communication with carriers, packaging and labeling requirements, law compliance, Transport Management System implementation, 'Supply Chain Guru' software introduction to logistics engineering work, 3PL/4PL project management. The following main projects completed in 15 months generated $10.9 mil (13.6%) cost savings:
    1. 80% of global logistics contracts renegotiation (3PL, Air & Ocean, Small Parcel, Consolidation Centers)
    2. Introducing innovative solutions for flows AP<>EMEA like Trans-Siberian train, sea-air services
    3. Redesigning Consolidation Center locations in NA, EMEA
  • Delphi - Regional Supply Chain Manager - EMEA

    Villepinte 2012 - 2015 Challenge to move logistics and production control organization to next level with full integration of scheduling activities and logistics operations with support of IT solutions for design activities and then followed by execution. In charge of all EMEA purchasing activities related to logistics ($180 mil budget, +45 manufacturing sites, +60 warehouses): transportation within region and intra regional, customs brokerage services, warehousing, sequencing operations, x-docking and distribution centers. Supervising external freight bill audit services. Generating $31mil savings running many projects among which were:
    1) EMEA aftermarket distribution network design (for +3000 customers in + 40 countries) and creating new DCs with full configuration within 4 walls
    2) Implementation of Italian, Russian, and Central European x-docks network to optimize material flow from the suppliers in those countries to our operations
    3) Introducing multimodal services to transport finished products and raw material within region to reduce the cost and CO2 emission
    4) Creating the methodology to measure CO2 and fulfill social responsibility of the company
  • Delphi, innovation for the real world - Regional Logistics Manager EMEA

    2009 - 2012 Combining in this role the responsibility for the purchasing of logistics services for EMEA Region, logistics engineering, network design and operational support to implement lean practices. Overall management of EMEA Supply Chain Management which include: logistics department performance in terms of budget ($200mil), process compliance, supplier sourcing, cost improvement initiatives, order scheduling. Leading innovations in our supply chain. Driving several major projects in EMEA Region resulting with year on year savings between 5-11%:
    1) Freight Bill Audit outsourcing
    2) Quality in logistics throughout KPI implementation and monitoring
    3) Freight Under Management measurement
    4) Origin Based Network Design and Creation

  • Delphi - European Lean Logistics Manager

    Villepinte 2007 - 2009 Responsible for shared services project as in previous post. In addition I have been charged with the activities included 3PL/4PL project related to European transport, implementation of the common operating system to standardize internal processes within supply chain, creating most optimal and cost effective material flow throughout all operations by total cost management; main projects:
    1) Enlarging Delphi European Road Network reaching to all countries with minimum use of 70%
    2) Integration of collections from German suppliers for overseas operations into EMA domestic network resulted in 23% cost reduction on pick up side
    3) Harmonizing pick up time to reduce the cost and transit time (2 to 5 days within European deliveries)
  • Delphi - European Logistics Shared Services Manager

    Villepinte 2004 - 2007 Leading logistics activities in EMEA Region ( 70 manufacturing site in the region, numerous warehouses and SILS facilities); special concentration on West sub region; initiation of 3PL/4PL studies to drive lean principles in inbound and outbound flows, warehousing and distribution. Responsible for optimizing cost by moving destination based network towards origin based network and looking for the synergies among external warehouses. Some of the projects and activities that were bringing huge improvements ($30mil reductions on the current cost):
    1) Merging two external facilities into one to use the scale of aftermarket operations with $8mil savings achieved
    2) Modeling European flows with use of I2 software to generate big savings
    3) Standardizing the processes across the globe to follow model plants and best practices - being part of global team to share those initiatives
    4) Numerous negotiations of the contracts with logistics partners
  • Delphi - Production Control and Logistics Manager for Eastern Europe

    Villepinte 2000 - 2003 Leading PC&L activities in Eastern European Region that consist of 18 manufacturing sites, 1 customer service center and 1 technical center, responsible for implementing shared services in order to reduce inventory, transit time, cost of services and eliminating the buffers and warehouses space. Negotiating contracts with logistics providers that resulted in 20% savings. Introducing to the plants the best practices and new methods in material management (JIT, Kanban, pull system, VMI, pay on use, ..), optimization of supply chain and distribution centers for aftermarket products. Provide full information on governmental regulations regarding customs clearance procedures, documentations, etc. Analyzing the value streams mapping and optimizing the supply chain to minimize the cost and increase the performance and the quality of services. Main projects:
    1) Creating aftermarket distribution for Poland, Ukraine, Belorussia and Russia ($3mil cost reductions)
    2) Implementing LLPs in 7 countries with 15% reductions in cost by improving service and eliminating the waste in administration
    3) Development of PC&L department in new plant in Slovakia and sourcing all logistics activities
    4) Designing internal warehouse flows, pallet/bin locations, processes for aftermarket products in Poland, Krosno
  • Delphi - Project Leader - Purchasing

    Villepinte 1998 - 2000 In Direct Material Purchasing Department responsible for leading and managing all new projects for steering product line in Europe, India, China and Mexico regarding the raw material and purchased components ($150mil budget). Ensuring production parts and equipment purchase is on time for the projects; negotiations of terms and prices with direct and indirect material suppliers resulting 13% savings. Preparing purchasing strategies for indirect activities. Auditing suppliers in terms of processes and quality standards. Designing the supply chain and logistics for new components, optimizing packaging, implementing JIT deliveries, coordintation of customs activities.
