  Duties & Responsibilities
  
  * Identifying hazards and areas that will improve the work environment and promote a safe and healthy environment.
  * Conducting and developing risk assessments and safe systems of work.
  * Attend Safety meetings with management and discuss / suggest areas of improvement.
  * Assist with developing various techniques for planning, measuring and reviewing safety performance.
  * Conduct accident investigations and reporting to establish root causes (Root Cause Analysis) to prevent re-occurrence.
  * Recommend measures to help protect workers from potentially hazardous work methods, processes, or materials.
  * Attend and deliver daily tool box talks with internal and 3rd party site teams.
  * Provide advice and support to onsite staff on all matters concerning health and safety.
  * Help to develop a structured safety culture, promoting a safe and excellent working environment that is aligned to working practices.
  * Assist in developing training plans and programs to fulfill the approved training requirements and coordinate and monitor their implementation.

  2010 - 2011 Duties & Responsibilities
  
  * Provide leadership and direction to ensure compliance with the applicable laws and regulations and fulfilled adherence to statutory norms providing assurance to safety management systems, policies and procedures which have noticeably improved the working conditions and overall safety culture.
  * Carry out Risk and potential hazard assessments, identifying issues and developing corrective action plans to insure compliance with applicable safety, health and environmental regulations.
  * Conduct site inspections and hazard identification, ensuring that corrective actions are adequate, ensuring that investigation and reporting are implemented according to Client procedures.
  * Maintain accreditation, planning and undertaking audits to national and international ISO standards to ensure and measure compliance.

  * Work in partnership with the BG organizational management team to drive the implementation of the HSE strategy, policies, standards and procedures across the relevant division to ensure right first time approach.
  * Ensure all investigations are carried out comprehensively and in a balanced manner with a view to continual improvement. Evaluate incident forms, surveys, audits to establish root causes and together with Supervisors and Managers concerned, formulate a plan of action to correct non-compliant behavior or conditions.
  * Conducting of company's safety orientation program for new employees or returnees prior to the mobilization to the project site. Conducting Emergency drills, fixing the date of emergency drill and communicating with all crew.
  * Design and deliver safety & security training programs for employees and ensure response to all specific requirements and maintain knowledge of all company safety programs within required time frames to increase HSE awareness for BG Groups `Zero Accident Culture'.
  * Keep up to date with new legislation and maintain a working knowledge of all HSE legislation and any developments that affect the employer's industry.
  * Effectively interpreting and communicating compliance requirements to the operating divisions of the company.
  * Monitor and review Safety performance against set standards and targets, report findings to the Regional Stakeholders and the management team and implement action plans to ensure standards are met or surpassed. ;
  * Liaison with client site representatives and other concerned plant authorities or contractors on work related safety requirements at site, conducting safety meeting ;
  * Time to time visit of work area to ensure that personnel protective equipment are provided and properly worn. ;
