I received my Ph.D in organic chemistry from Henri Poincaré University (Nancy, France) on 2011. I am currently a postdoctoral fellow in the Centre for Catalysis Research and Innovation (CCRI), at University of Ottawa (Ottawa, Canada).

My long-term career objective is to obtain a position in a chemical or pharmaceutical company where I can become established as a new team member for a great company, which will allow me to utilize my solid background and skills in chemistry, my hard work, and my organizational skills for the further development of the company.

    2012 - maintenant Responsibilities:
    -Design and synthesis of new photochromic organosilicates precursors as building block for periodic mesoporous materials (PMOs) and their caracterization by liquid NMR and mass spectrometry .
    -Prepartion of PMOs and their caracterization by BET surface aerea measurement, NMR solid, UV-Visible, Powder X-ray diffraction, Microscopy TEM and SEM, and TGA.
    -Modification of commercials polyamines which were impregnated on mesoporous silica supports to prepare highly efficient and selective SO2 adsorbents.
    -Synthesis of new and known multidentate ligands, their complexation with lanthanides and transition metals, recrystalization, caracterization by single X-ray diffraction and magnetism studies.

    Accomplishments:
    • I made a successful N-methylation of three commercial polyamines which were impregnated on nanoporous silica supports to prepare highly efficient and selective SO2 adsorbents. Paper recently accepted for publication on Environmental Science & Technology, Title: Supported polytertiary amines: Highly Efficient and Selective SO2 Adsorbents.
    • I designed and synthesised some new photochromic organosilicates precursors as a building block for photochromic periodic mesoporous organosilicas materials.The preparation of corresponding materials is current.
    - I synthesised the macrocycle Tetramethyldibenzotetraaza[14]annulene (H2tmtaa) and I made a severals complexation tests with Dysprosium.
    • I synthesised several new mono- and bis-Salophen ligands and I tried their complexation with some lanthanides.
    • I synthesised 3,9-Dimethyl-chrysene, is an intermediate of chrysene-3,9-dicarboxylic acid as important building block for mesoporous Metal Organic Frameworks.

    2007 - 2011 Project:New Polyhalogenated Bipyridines: Synthesis, Functionalization, and Characterization by X-ray diffraction.

    Responsibilities:
    Synthesis, functionalization, recrystalization and characterization by X-ray diffraction, liquidNMR, mass spectrometry and elementary analysis of new polyhalogenated 4,4'-bipyridines.

    Accomplishments:
    • I developed a simple and original procedure for the synthesis of polyhalogenated 4,4'-bipyridines derivatives based on the lithiation of dihalogenopyridines by lithium diisopropylamide (LDA) (J. Org. Chem. 2010, 75, 3224–3231).
    • I studied the mechanism of this reaction by the isolation and characterization of several secondary products obtained after this reaction.
    • I applied then the methodology to the synthesis a series of bipyridine 4,4'-bipyridines containing chlorine, bromine and even iodine.
    • I functionalized some 4,4'-bipyridines synthesized by regioselective Suzuki cross-coupling reactions. A double amination methodology of 4,4'-tetra-halogenated bipyridnes allowed me to synthesize a series of novel 2,7-functionalized diazacarbazoles (Beilstein J. Org. Chem. 2012, 8, 253–258; Acta Cryst. 2010, C66, 0381– 0384.).
    • I characterized most of the products synthesized in this work by Single-crystal X-ray Diffraction. This characterization allowed me, firstly, to establish the structure of the synthesized products, to determine the connectivity of polyhalogenated bipyridines (4,4', 3,4' and 2,4'), and secondly, to highlight the various intermolecular interactions, including specific halogen interactions (J. Org. Chem. 2010, 75, 3224–3231; Acta Cryst. 2010, C66, 0381–0384).

    Bois-Colombes 2005 - 2005 I worked in COLGATE-PALMOLIVE MAROC S.A. in Casablanca as QC chemist. My responsibilities were testing and measuring final products, raw materials and water to ensure their validity according to established standard.
