Paul CAVALIER

CAPE TOWN

En résumé

I completed my PhD in Grenoble (France) on innovative superconducting optoelectronics for astrophysics, after which I chose to explore new horizons. I currently work on Geophysical Exploration techniques, with a particular focus on Wavelet methods, for application for Archaeological prospection in South Africa.

I like working in projects involving several fields of expertise and bridge gaps to create new perspectives. I am particularly motivated by challenges requiring a high sense of initiative and adaptability.

I have also invested myself in various associations and foundations, cultural and humanitarian, as I consider important to keep an open vision and be active on multiple levels.

2012 - 2012 My role was to set the bases for comprehensive cleft care system for Tawanchai center of cranio-facial anomalies in Khon Kaen university hospital. Community Based Rehabilitation approach was used to establish the desired output-outcomes, in relation with actions to be undertaken on a 5-years planning period, with the aim of applying the approach to the whole region of Northeast Thailand. A draft actions guidelines booklet has been delivered for Health aspects, as a model to be extended to Social, Education, Economic and Empowerment aspects.
I had the great opportunity and privilege to work under direct mentoring of Dr Werasit Sittitrai, former director of UNAIDS, on this project.
